Property purchasing often gets most of the attention, but behind the scenes we have a dedicated team working with people who are investing in their future, creating jobs and building businesses that support communities across the country.
Over the past few months alone, we’ve helped clients purchase and grow a wide range of businesses. These have included a dog kennel operation, a radiology practice, a local supermarket, an accommodation provider in Queenstown, beauty salons, service stations and more.
What stands out to me is the variety. There is no single type of person buying a business. Some are experienced operators looking to expand, whereas others are taking the leap into business ownership for the first time. What they often have in common is a willingness to back themselves and a desire to build something for the long term.
Buying a business does differ from purchasing a home. There are a lot of additional considerations around business performance, lease arrangements, franchise agreements, cash flow and future growth plans.
