In this Southland holiday home, this room had to function both as a powder room for visitors and as the bathroom for the guest bedroom. The homeowners wanted it to be comfortably used by two people at once, but also be private from the busy hallway. And the brief was for a beautiful and spa-like feel.
To achieve this wish-list, Carmen Hubber of Hub Design selected a soft, colourful tile for the large entrance wall. This striking feature extends to the ceiling, maximising the height, creating a dramatic focal point and making the room feel more intimate. Textured elements add warmth and interest, and the vanity was designed to avoid clutter.
The large mirror reflects the beautiful feature tile and integrates both soft and task lighting, and the bath brings a soft curved corner. Aged bronze tapware completes the cohesive, inviting atmosphere.
