The curved wall is king when it comes to this bathroom renovation in a family home in Christchurch. “Sarah Harding of Spaces Ink Design, has created such an elegant solution to my functional needs for access and space,” says the homeowner. “As a lover of natural forms, I delight that there are no hard edges in this bathroom, in the organic references and in the play of light and mystery in the tiles.”
The intensity of the curve called for small finger tiles, which contrasts with larger format floor tiles to ground the space. Vertical heated towel rails cleverly hug the curves of the wall, in a gunmetal finish to complete the scheme. To reflect light and add drama to this moody sanctuary, high-gloss tiles dance across the shower and vanity walls. The result is both sumptuous and practical.
