This year Curated Botanics has once again found the sweet spot between timeless tradition and modern design with a Christmas collection that feels both elevated and effortless.
The Auckland-based family-run business, already known for its lifelike faux botanicals and elegant floral styling, has just launched its 2025 ‘A Curated Christmas’ Collection. The small team all shares a love of the season and the joy it brings – and it shows. At the heart of the brand is a passion for designing classic pieces with that festive spirit.
Each piece in the premium collection is handcrafted in New Zealand using carefully selected artificial foliage and flowers. Designed collaboratively by floral artist and head creative Heather and her interior designer sister, Abbey Lang, the range reflects both elegance and the ease of a true Kiwi Christmas, offering decorations that feel special yet effortless.
Because of their handcrafted nature, no two wreaths, swags, centrepieces or garlands are ever identical. With limited stock available and pre-orders often required, every piece feels unique and considered. To ensure they can be treasured for many Christmases to come, each item also arrives with a storage or gift box, a thoughtful finishing touch that reflects the brand’s dedication to detail.
To mark the launch, Abbey and John, owners of Curated Botanics, once again opened the doors of their own home to host their annual ‘A Curated Christmas’ Open Home preview event. The team transformed every corner with this year’s pieces, from living rooms layered with garlands and trees to tables set for long summer lunches. For those unable to attend in person, a video walk-through captures the magic – a glimpse into how the collection comes to life in a real home setting.
It’s a personal approach that feels true to the brand. What began as a small family project has grown into a large following, fuelled by a belief that festive styling should be both beautiful and achievable.
This season’s collections bring that philosophy to life. From the romance of summery greens and whites in the White Christmas range, to the warm and moody tones of Cinnamon & Spice, the garden- inspired freshness of A Floral Christmas, the year-round elegance of Magnolia & Mirth, and the nostalgic red-and-green tradition of Jingle Bells – there’s a collection to suit everyone.
