This welcoming new space focuses on handmade pieces that are on trend and affordable. In stock are well-made pieces by the Nelson-based Custom Creative team, as well as other locally made, quality New Zealand products.
“We have mini bathroom set-ups with tapware, mirrors and vanities with Creative Crete Concrete basins to show how they work in combination,” says Meg Wells, owner of The Custom Creative. “In our lounge area, we have comfortable chairs and coffee tables where our designers can sit and go over plans with you.”
The showroom range includes vanities in various materials, from natural oak-look to veneer with timber top and spacious soft-close drawers. Offering straight or curved edges, and some with open shelves for towels; all are stylish and practical.
Mirrors are made for contemporary living, with wall-mounted and cabinet options. Arches are ‘in’ right now, with mirrors sized to fit most modern layouts.
Those seeking brass accents will find what they’re looking for here with a quality selection of brass handles, knobs, toilet roll holders and towel rails.
“In 2023, it’s all about your personal style. Bathrooms are now becoming a feature point in the home, and we work with clients to create completely personalised solutions. If you’re planning your new bathroom or want a new look, it can be helpful to select a certain feature as your starting point – such as stone tiles or a coloured basin. You may like natural timber or something with curves or with extra shelving space. If people need to adjust sizes or add to an existing design, it is easy for us to create that bespoke solution. We create style statements that are both functional and beautiful.”
