Our longevity and reliability is evident in the lasting relationships we have forged with accomplished designers like Davinia, alongside a long list of clients who choose to source products from us independently. And, with a constantly evolving product selection on display, our showroom is a great place for homeowners to see different colours and finishes, while gathering ideas on how to put it all together.
Enlisting the expertise of a specialised bathroom designer like Davinia is always highly recommended. Due to our long-standing relationship with Davinia over the years, we understand her market and love being part of the selection process alongside her and her clients.
Consumer top tip
All too often people cut costs by sourcing their own products over the internet, which typically don’t come with any guarantees. With Oakleys, however, our after-sales service is second-to-none – saving homeowners’ valuable time and money, while offering the peace of mind that their products and parts are covered by a supplier's warranty.
Q&A WITH DESIGNER: Davinia Sutton
Why Oakleys? By bringing their extensive product knowledge to the table, the Oakleys team enables me to do my job effectively as a designer, secure in the knowledge that I have the very latest in trends, materials, technologies and styles at my fingertips to suit a diverse range of styles, budgets and projects – from new builds through to renovations.
And my 15-year relationship with Oakleys is testament to the unparalleled service they provide and the results we achieve together. They instill confidence – both in me, as a designer, and in my clients. Just knowing I can rely on their expert advice, vast knowledge and their ability to deliver just what any given project demands.
How important is it for clients to see products firsthand? This is vital. Clients find it so helpful to be able to touch different textures, and see actual dimensions, colours and finishes. After all, a bathroom is such a sensory-rich room, but also a highly functional space, so seeing how all these elements can be brought together to form a cohesive whole is certainly helpful during the design and product selection phase.
What’s your top tip for homeowners embarking on a bathroom renovation? My mantra is: ‘Do it once; do it right.’ Whether or not you think you can afford it, enlisting the technical expertise of an experienced designer eliminates stress and can often prevent costly mistakes. Another benefit of employing a qualified designer is the contacts they have with companies and suppliers – which often results in their obtaining a better deal for their clients.
